The Art Athina award for a new artist is a new institution that aims to strengthen artistic creation. Artists up to 45 years of age, who live and work in Greece, are eligible to participate, nominated by the gallery that represents them where they have held at least one solo exhibition.

For this year's award, Art Athina collaborates with MOMus-Museum Alex Mylona, one of the five Museums of the Metropolitan Organisation of Museums of Visual Arts of Thessaloniki (MOMus).

The award announcement will take place during Art Athina, 16-19.09.2022.

The MOMus-Museum of Modern Art-Costakis Collection, the MOMus-Museum of Contemporary Art, the MOMus-Thessaloniki Museum of Photography and the MOMus-Experimental Center for the Arts will remain closed to the public during August 9-16, 2021, while the MOMus-Museum Alex Mylona will remain closed during August 2-16, 2021.
